Privacy
Kidz Viz operates the retail shop at www.kidzviz.com.au. This page explains how we handle anonymous usage data on the public storefront.
What we collect
- A random identifier in a first-party cookie (
kv_vid) so we can understand returning visits without knowing who you are. - An anonymous session identifier (stored in your browser for up to 30 minutes of inactivity).
- Pages you view, coarse device type (mobile, tablet, or desktop), and browser language.
- Marketing parameters (UTM tags) and the referring website when you first land in a session. The UTM tags from the last link that brought you are also kept in your browser for up to 7 days, so a purchase on a later visit can be credited to that link.
- Shopping actions such as choosing a design, adding to your order, and starting checkout.
What we do not collect in analytics
- Your name, email, phone, or delivery address in first-party analytics records.
- Analytics or Meta ads tracking on the wholesale reseller portal (/reseller/).
When you checkout, your contact and shipping details are stored on your order so we can fulfil it. That information is kept separate from anonymous analytics identifiers.
If Meta ads are running, the shop also loads Meta’s Pixel (and our server sends matching Conversions API events) so ads can be measured. The same purchase is sent from the browser and our server with one event id so Meta counts it once. Opt out (below) skips the Pixel.
Why we collect it
To operate and improve the shop, understand which campaigns bring visitors, measure checkout conversion, and fix usability problems. We do not sell analytics data.
Retention
- Detailed event data: up to 90 days.
- Aggregated daily statistics: up to 2 years.
- Order records (including checkout attribution attached to the order): kept as long as the order exists for business and tax purposes.

You can stop anonymous analytics at any time:
This sets a preference in your browser. Checkout and ordering continue to work normally.
Access and deletion
Analytics uses a random ID, not your email. If you want analytics rows deleted, email
contact@kidzviz.com.au with your
kv_vid cookie value (visible in your browser’s developer tools under Application → Cookies).
Security
Analytics data is sent to our systems over HTTPS and stored on servers we control. Payment processing is handled by Stripe under their privacy policy.
